Blowouts are one of the most iconic old money looks and can make anyone feel and look glamorous. Not only is it iconic but is simple too, with only a few products from Amika’s bombshell blowout spray, Color Wow’s dreamcoat spray, Olaplex’s hair oil and Nº. 6 Bond Smoother, Moroccanoil’s heat protectant and oil, Gisou’s hair oil and Revlon’s blow dry brush your hair will be looking like a movie star’s.
While hair is damp spray a little of the Moroccanoil’s heat protectant topped with either the Color Wow Dreamcoat or the Amika bombshell blowout spray (these products will help with heat protection and breakage) as well as making your blowout be as smooth as possible. To seal it all in use Olaplex’s Nº. 6 Bond smoother this will make sure that there will be no frizz and your results will be smooth as possible. Next divide your hair into sections starting with the bottom half. Start blow drying out your hair with Revlon’s blowout brush (make sure to put it on the lowest heat setting while starting out as it can get hot). Keep brushing through your hair with the blowout brush with a little pressure to get frizz out. Continue doing this in a continuous motion while turning the brush round and round to get a curl at the end until dry and smooth. Feel free to add a little more product as you go along. Start doing the top part of your head. Once all hair is dry and smooth complete the look with either Olaplex’s, Gisou’s or the Moroccanoil hair oil to lock in shine and frizz. Want to use less heat?
Say au revoir to heat and damaged hair and say oui oui to a lovely night of beauty sleep that leaves you waking up in the morning with soft silky hair. With luxurious satin pillow cases and lovely bonnets; achieve flawless curls with Kitsch’s viral curling set. To add the cherry on the top of this routine’s sundae why not finish it off with their fabulous air dry cream and leave in conditioner?
For a perfect night of beauty sleep add your silk pillowcases to your pillows, and a little air dry cream in to your hair. This will take out frizz and detangle without using heat, this can be added into damp or dry hair. Be sure not to go to bed with wet hair as this can cause breakage, give your hair some time to dry after applying products. Now for my favorite part heatless curls! These kits have gone viral a few years or so ago but will always stay in style as they are both functional, simple, reduce heat usage, and give you the most beautiful soft curls when you wake up the next morning. Starting out can be a little tricky, though the more you practice the less hard it is to master the technique.
These curling kits come with a curling rod and two scrunchies to secure the hair in place. There is two ways to use these: you can do the “unicorn method” (my personal favorite) where it looks like a unicorn’s horn when you finish wrapping it around your head, hence the name. Start out by placing the curling rod straight down across your head, using a clip to hold in place if you fancy. Just like french braiding begin taking small sections of hair from the top of your head and wrapping it around the rod. Continue taking sections and strands of your hair as you work your way down to the bottom of your head. Once you’ve reached the end secure with a scrunchie. To finish it off use Kitsch’s satin bonnet, tying it over your hair with the heatless curls, this will ensure that your hair is the most soft and shiny when you wake up the next morning.
Ulta Kitsch satin pillowcase $20
The second way to curl your hair is by placing the rod across the top of your head, securing it with a claw clip. Start Small: Take a small 1-inch section of hair right at your forehead or part. Wrap this piece away from your face around and under the rod. As you move down the rod, pick up a new piece of hair and add it to your section before wrapping it under, just like a French braid. Make sure to do this on both sides of your head. Once you reach the bottom of your hair, wrap the very ends tight against the rod and secure them using a scrunchie. If you fancy you may also use Kitsch’s silk bonnet to finish it off as mentioned before. And voilà! Here are two fabulous ways you can curl your hair without heat while still feeling in style.
(Note that you can also use a bathrobe tie or socks to curl hair too)
Well gorgeous that’s a wrap for today’s blog. May your hair feel as luxurious as you are—remember to keep on shining and embracing every beautiful moment in life.
